Marin SSAR and 2018 Travel Safety Plan (Marin County, CA)

David worked as a GIS Lead and Planner in the preparation of the Marin County Travel Safety Plan, focusing primarily on the safety metrics used by the project. The study was funded by the Caltrans Systemic Safety Analysis Report Program (SSARP). The Plan provides separate travel safety chapters for each of the 11 cities in Marin County as well as the unincorporated County. David evaluated and prepared high-quality graphics and maps showing collision density, a collision index based on a combination of observed and predicted collisions, study corridor segments and intersections, and collision rates for all study locations for each of the 12 jurisdictions. He also developed the collision tabulations that would inform the collision profiles intended to focus attention on the collision types common to each jurisdiction.
